Horsham Chess Club Championship 2022-23: Heath – Mansson

Last Tuesday I played my game with Black against Chris Heath in the Club Championship. Although both sides had their chances, the game ultimately ended in a drawn rook and pawn endgame.

The game started well for Black, who managed to neutralize White’s system against the Sicilian Defence. The resulting middlegame saw mistakes for both sides, and finally resulted in a rook and pawn endgame, where Black was a pawn up, but White defended well to hold the draw.

I give the game below with some notes.
