Horsham Club Championship 2015-16: Mansson – Kington

I was close to beating Paul Kington in our Horsham Club Championship game last Tuesday, but slipped up in a winning position, allowing him to escape with a draw.

The game started with Paul choosing the Dutch Defence as Black. Although this is generally regarded as an ambitious choice, my opponent played it in a rather negative fashion, attempting to simply at every opportunity. Unfortunately  for him, this just made his position progressively worse, and should have led to his defeat.

I give the game below with some notes.
