Sussex suffered another heavy defeat against Surrey, this time in the home fixture, which was not surprising given their massive grading advantage.
I was up against Ashley Stewart for the second time this season, this time with the White pieces. A roughly balanced position was reached out of a sharp opening. Subsequent inaccuracies put me under some pressure; there was, however, an opportunity to hold the position which I failed to take. Subsequently, my opponent was able to convert his big advantage to a win.
