McArthur Cup 2012-13: Horsham – Brighton

As documented on the Horsham Chess Club website here, Horsham’s attempt to progress in the McArthur Cup once again failed at the first hurdle, as we once again lost to Brighton.

On a personal note, the match was more successful, as I reversed my individual result from the league match earlier this season by beating Ezra Kirk on board two. I had some good fortune in that my opponent allowed his clear advantage to gradually slip, although I was pleased by my efforts in building up my kingside attack.

I give my game below with some notes.
