Horsham 1 finished their league season with a 3-1 win over Eastbourne 1. I was able to contribute a win on board three.
I was Black against Oliver Froom. The game started with an unusual line of the Sicilian, which seemed to confuse both players! What proved significant was that White used a lot more time up early on than Black. While White did have some chances, it was when he was down to less than 10 minutes, and so it was difficult to work things out, while Black was always comfortably placed on the clock, if not always on the board. In the end, White made the last mistake and Black managed to finish effectively.
