James Mansson has been playing chess competitively since the late 1980s. He cannot remember when he learnt the game, but he caught the chess bug when at the Royal Grammar School, Guildford. As well as playing for the school team, he also started competing in individual tournaments. He continued playing chess at Durham University, which he represented. Subsequently, he joined Horsham Chess Club, for whom he has played until this day.
This blog is intended primarily to host analysis of his new games, as soon as possible after they are played. It will also contain posts on other matters, such as match and tournament reports, book reviews and opening analysis.
