A couple of Saturdays ago, I played for Sussex in a county match away against Middlesex. As Sussex were massively outgraded, it was no wonder that Middlesex won comfortably by 11.5-4.5.
I was up on board four and was Black against Tiruchirapalli Venkataramanan, a FIDE Master graded about 250 points higher than me. I got a good position out of the opening and was doing well for much of the game. However, running short of time, I went wrong and ended up losing.
I give the game below with some notes.
