Horsham defeated Hastings in the semi-final of the McArthur Cup. The score was tied at 3-3 but Horsham won on board count.
My game was against John Sugden. Following an odd opening, I had several chances to seize the initiative, but the game resolved into a closed position, where neither side saw a way to make progress; the players therefore agreed a draw.
