I managed to negotiate the second round of the club knockout on Tuesday night, following a wild game against Anthony Higgs. He decided to punt the rare 4 h4 against my Gruenfeld Defence. However, he failed to find a convincing response to my aggressive response 4…c5, and soon found himself in a dubious position. The game subsequently had a number of ups and downs for both players, and certainly seemed to entertain the spectators, but in the end I managed to prevail.
