Horsham Club Championship 2014-15: Mansson – Comley

I played my club championship game against Ian Comley last Tuesday. I managed to notch up another win and so I am on 2 out of 2 in the competition.

I was White, and Ian for once chose not to play the Dutch Defence, but rather the less common 1. d4 e6 2. c4 Bb4+. I did not obtain anything much out of the opening, but my opponent did not like his solid but passive position. He therefore decided on an aggressive plan to break out, but this backfired and I was able to win fairly easily.

I give the game below with some notes.
